InSPIREd Sunday - St. John

Welcome to InSPIREd Sunday where Beth from "E." Lizard Breath Speaks and I are hosting shots each week of churches, temples or other buildings where religious services are held.

This week I am sharing the spire from St. John Lutheran church in Elizabeth, Minnesota. This was taken on an overcast day last December. The base of the spire looks like large "M's". Maybe in honor of Mary, or Minnesota, or May, or...

The guidelines are simple for participating in InSPIREd Sunday.

  • Post a picture of a church, temple, or other fabulous architectural building where religious services are held. If you know the name of the building, include it.
  • Include the InSPIREd Sunday Badge on your post.
  • Visit others who are linking up to meme whenever possible.

    1. i luv that the town is named after me... super cool. ( :

the linky tool thingy is not liking me tonight? ... wonder why???! so odd.

    2. Your spire makes a fine church image. I had a time finding the linky tool tonight too. Strange.

    3. Sally, since you and Beth started this meme, I've become so interested in the symbolism of the spires especially. Here I'm wondering if these "Ms" have a special meaning for the Lutheran faith or maybe just a variation of gothic architecture?
