Barn Charm - Big Green

This barn is along US Highway 2 east of Creston, Washington. On my winter trips to the Spokane airport, I would pass by it. It's hard to miss. Finally on a return trip in January I captured this drive-by shot.

Last Friday when I flew home to Washington for the weekend, my plane was high above and just to the south of US2 as we made our way westward towards Seattle. I identified Spokane and the towns of Reardan and Davenport. Then I started looking for other landmarks from my window seat. Lo and behold, I could see this barn from the air! Too bad I wasn't able to share my excitement with anyone around me. They probably wouldn't understand my love of barns and the Barn Charm meme. And too bad I didn't think to get my camera out!!

  15. How totally cool to spot that from above! I really love that you like looking out the plane window...esp. when you are a such regular air commuter. I get excited about what I can see from the window and everybody else is always so blase and bored.

  16. A green roof in the middle of plain, white snow– How cool is that! It is obvious that the owner loves this barn so much, it looks well-tended and maintained. The roof and the whole structure is still in great shape, and I hope it stay that way. Whoever came up with this idea is definitely an artist.
