Sunday Bridges - Interstate 84 in Oregon & Idaho

Even though the Sunday Bridges meme is no longer around, I still like bridges and will continue to share one or more each Sunday.

All Aboard!

My work schedule was really hectic in January with having to work at a couple of boat shows on the weekends along with my regular work schedule. One of the shows was in Seattle, Washington. To get there, I took Amtrak from the Wenatchee station. The cost of the train versus fuel, parking and the hassle of dealing with mountain passes via car was significantly less. Plus I love to travel by train.

The train crosses the Cascade Mountains and then runs alongside Puget Sound from Everett to Seattle. It is a very picturesque trip!

Drive west along Interstate 90 and look north when crossing Hangman Creek. What a view!

Sunday Bridges - Grand Coulee

A couple of weeks ago, we were on our way home from Spokane and stopped for a lunch break near Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River. The vista point is high above the town. I never get tired of the view, even on a hazy day like this!

It is a very narrow two lane bridge across the river, built before today's wider bridges.

Sunday Bridges - Riverfront Park

I've always liked photographing bridges so now I have another excuse to continue. Joining the Sunday Bridges meme for the first time this weekend.

Watery Wednesday - Over the Otter Tail River

For my first entry into Watery Wednesday hosted by Tricia at Bluff Area Daily, I am sharing this beautiful single lane covered bridge over the Otter Tail River in Frazee, Minnesota. I didn't drive over it -- just call me chicken. Not knowing if it was on private property, I parked a distance away and walked down the lane to see it. It was definitely worth the trip! And although the river is hard to see, it's there! It is just a small river.  :-)

Note: I was able to find this wonderful bridge and my earlier barn find that I shared thanks to Dale Travis' website. Go check it out...there might be one near you!
