Gorgeous! I miss the Cascades.
Just beautiful!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
OOhhh, sooo beautiful :0)
That is such a great picture of a breathtaking moment -- we always watch for our mountains and we always gasp when we see them! And nothing says so well "we're back in the west now'"
Yes indeed. Breath-taking get out of the car and capture it moment. And you did well :)When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!--- My dad's fav mantra!
Oh, I do love those fog wrapped mountains and I love the Cascades regardless of the skies overhead! Terrific, breathtaking captures, Sallie! Happy SWF! Have a great weekend!

Captured so beautifully! Have a happy weekend and happy sky watching.Sky shots. at my page, your comment will be greatly appreciated.
Lovely pictures of the Cascades and great captures, Sally. I think many of our storms here in the Similkameen are coming from Washington and bringing wonderful photo opportunities with them....
Wow! What a scene. I would have stopped the car also. Such a great and moody shot.
I can see why you got out of the car! I spent a few short weeks in the Cascades many years ago - I think I need to come back!Stewart M - Australia
I am on The Quilting Board with you. I saw your blog and have been reading it this morning. Very entertaining. I enjoyed your cruise! I've never been on a cruise and have had no desire to go on one, but after reading about yours, I think I changed my mind. I am going to continue reading your blog, but I would like to know what kind of camera you have. I use to have a 35mm and miss it terribly. I have a blog but use my cell phone and the pics are not good. For Christmas, I want a new nice camera. I would like to find out what kind you have and what lenses you have so I can ask for the same. Do you mind emailing me and telling me? Thank you. I am enjoying reading you blog so much. Jeanne
Oh, I forgot to tell you, I live in northeastern Oregon and travel to Port Townsend to see my kids all the time. I lived in Seattle years ago. My nephew lives outside of Seattle. Are you close to him? Or more in the middle of Washington? I stay in Ellensburg on my way to Port Townsend and go to Spokane quite frequently. I've been to Winachette (spelling wrong) a few times, also.
